PAUL SHORT BSc, MRICS (Managing Director)

Paul joined MPA at the beginning of 1993 following previous spells with other UK and international practices, and became a Director in 2000 when the Practice became MPA (Construction Consultants) Ltd. In 2008, Paul assumed the role of Managing Director and is responsible for the overall management of the Practice.

In addition to managing the Practice, Paul remains 'hands on' in the implementation of our technical service on numerous projects, particularly in the commercial, education, community and residential sectors.

MARC MORO BSc(Hons), MRICS (Director)

Marc joined MPA during 1997 having previously spent a number of years at a medium sized private practice, and became a Director in 2008. Marc is responsible for the management of the Practice's London office.

In addition to leading the London based team, Marc remains actively involved in the implementation of our technical service on numerous projects, particularly in the retail, restaurant and commercial sectors.

NICK SMITH BSc(Hons), MRICS (Director)

Nick joined MPA during 1997 having previously worked for a metropolitan borough council, and became a Director in 2008. Nick is responsible for the management of the Practice's Ripon office.

In addition to leading the Ripon based team, Nick remains actively involved in the implementation of our technical service on various projects, particularly in the retail sector.

MICHAEL PORTER FRICS (Director)

Mike established the Practice in 1984 following a decade working overseas in Europe and West Africa, having previously held a mixture of contractor and local authority posts in Cheshire since joining the industry, and oversaw its expansion and transition into MPA (Construction Consultants) Ltd. In 2008, Mike stepped down as Managing Director but remains a Director and 'figurehead' of the Practice.

Mike is actively involved in the implementation of our technical service on various projects, particularly in the retail and residential sectors, and is our leading exponent of our monitoring and bespoke consultancy services.
